Spiritual Counselor- Hospice
About The Position
BAYADA Hospice is hiring a Spiritual Counselor to make home visits throughout Tucson, Arizona. The counselor joins an experienced hospice care team that provides assessments, education, and symptom management related to end-of-life care. Hospice or care experience and experience making home visits are preferred. The role provides spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families, develops and follows client spiritual care plans, completes documentation accurately and on time, and participates in bereavement services. The counselor must be reliable and punctual and demonstrate an appropriate attitude. The position requires travel throughout the office's coverage area. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- One year of experience in a spiritual counseling capacity in a health care setting.
- Willingness to travel throughout the office's coverage area.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Must demonstrate an appropriate attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Counseling preferred, or graduation from an approved divinity school.
- Hospice or care experience preferred.
- Experience making home visits preferred.
- Experience in hospice or palliative care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and adhere to the client's spiritual care plan.
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members.
- Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in providing bereavement services to family members, referral sources, and the community.
- Travel throughout the office's coverage area for home visits.
