Spiritual Counselor- Hospice
About The Position
BAYADA Hospice has an immediate opening for a Spiritual Counselor performing home visits throughout Tucson, Arizona. The position is part of an experienced hospice care team that provides assessments, education, and symptom management related to end-of-life care. Hospice or care experience and experience making home visits are preferred. The Spiritual Counselor develops and follows clients’ spiritual care plans, provides spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members, completes documentation accurately and promptly, and participates in bereavement services. The role requires reliability, punctuality, an appropriate attitude, and willingness to travel within the office’s coverage area. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- One year of experience in a spiritual counseling capacity in a health care setting, preferably hospice or palliative care.
- Willingness to travel throughout the office's coverage area.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Counseling preferred, or graduation from an approved divinity school.
- Hospice or care experience preferred.
- Experience making home visits preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and adhere to the client's spiritual care plan.
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members.
- Complete documentation accurately and timely.
- Be reliable and punctual and demonstrate an appropriate attitude.
- Participate in providing bereavement services to family members, referral sources, and the community.
- Travel within the office's coverage area.
