About The Position

The Spiritual Care Director provides for the spiritual and emotional needs of residents, families, and staff. The role includes developing and executing strategic plans, including budget development and management; serving as a resource for residents and families; consulting with people making difficult ethical decisions, such as preparing advance directives; supporting those facing the end of life; providing bereavement resources to residents and families; and educating staff and volunteers about the importance of spiritual care in health and healing.

Requirements

One to three years of active ministry in a church or healthcare setting.
Bachelor’s degree in theology or a related field.
Theological understanding and respect toward all faith expressions.

Nice To Haves

Completion of one to four units of clinical pastoral education at an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)- or National Association of Catholic Chaplains-approved center.
