About The Position
The Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for providing a compassionate, non-judgmental presence that will invite openness, sharing, and the opportunity for a spirit of healing. The Spiritual Care Coordinator is a member of the health care team, spiritual care provides for the spiritual and emotional needs of residents, families, and staff. Requirements
- One (1) to three (3) years of active ministry in church or healthcare setting.
- Understanding of the mission and ministry of the churches as espoused in the healing ministry of Christ.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Arts degree.
- One (1) to four (4) units of clinical pastoral education (CPE).
- Solid presence within the community and one’s own church.
Responsibilities
- Shows attention to those who are facing the end of life and provides bereavement resources to both residents and families.
- Assists with the education and orientation of staff and volunteers on the importance of spiritual care in health and healing.
- Coordinates the spiritual care activities at the community and supports the spiritual beliefs/practices of the residents and staff.
