About The Position

The Spinner Operator performs a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection, and distribution of products or services. This role involves operating a Spinner machine, changing tooling, completing Statistical Process Control Charts, and using control gauges for inspection. The operator must be able to identify folded necks in cylinders and scrap accordingly, complete written reports, and understand equipment set-up procedures. The position requires adherence to safety policies, quality standards (ISO), and company work rules, while maintaining good housekeeping and a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments, and responsibilities of the job.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
  • Ability to use machinery/equipment required to accomplish a given job assignment.
  • Ability to work effectively, courteously and respectfully with co-workers and other personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Comply with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas.
  • Display appropriate work ethics.
  • Refer to work order or procedural instructions before commencing work.
  • Perform specified quality assurance checks.
  • Assure all work is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet production standards.
  • Operate Spinner machine.
  • Change out Spinner tooling.
  • Complete Statistical Process Control Charts for product being spun.
  • Use control gauges for Spinner inspection.
  • Identify folded necks in cylinders and scrap accordingly.
  • Complete written reports.
  • Knowledge of equipment set-up procedures.
