About The Position

Our well-established industrial manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Balance / Spin Technician to support precision balancing and rotating component operations within a highly technical production environment. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands-on work, precision measurement, and operating specialized balancing equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced machinery and critical rotating components in a fast-paced manufacturing setting focused on quality, accuracy, and safety. The Balance / Spin Technician is responsible for operating low-speed and high-speed balancing equipment used in the production and verification of rotating components. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to independently perform setups, measurements, inspections, and balancing procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working with precision equipment and manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating precision balancing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret machining drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high-speed balancing equipment highly desirable
  • Background in precision manufacturing or rotating equipment environments
  • Experience working with specialized measuring and inspection instruments

Responsibilities

  • Operate low-speed and high-speed balancing machines for rotating components
  • Perform balancing procedures on: Shafts, Impellers, Rotating assemblies, Other precision-machined components
  • Utilize runout measuring equipment (mechanical and electronic) to verify tolerances and component integrity
  • Interpret machining drawings, specifications, and route sheets
  • Verify dimensional accuracy and completion of parts against engineering requirements
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and specialized inspection tools
  • Conduct shop math calculations and apply measurements accurately during production and setup processes
  • Prepare and maintain balancing and inspection reports
  • Perform machine setups independently and assist team members as needed
  • Support production workflows by ensuring quality standards and specifications are consistently met
  • Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of accuracy and productivity
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Support quality and operational standards throughout the manufacturing process
