Learn more: www.mohawkmedbuy.ca. We are currently recruiting for a Fulltime Spend Analytics Analyst to support our Spend Analytics team. The Spend Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting Strategic Sourcing Teams through the collection, reporting, and analysis of data to provide critical insights for the RFx process. The responsibilities extend to compliance, opportunity identification, and specialized reporting. This position works collaboratively with various stakeholders, leveraging analytical and technical skills to drive process improvements and support the overall objectives of the department.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering impactful data solutions in challenging environments.
  • Post secondary degree or diploma
  • Strong analytical thinking and critical thinking abilities, enabling the interpretation of data, identification of trends, and generation of actionable insights to inform and drive business decisions.
  • Effective project management skills, able to coordinate multiple priorities and competing stakeholder demands and deadlines, with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
  • Expertise in gathering and interpreting business requirements through targeted questions in interviews and conducting workshops.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making abilities, initiative-taking, resourcefulness and capable of performing effectively with minimal supervision.
  • A meticulous approach to data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all deliverables, while maintaining a high standard of data quality.
  • Excellent presentation abilities, complemented by a successful history of building credibility and fostering consensus.
  • Capable of engaging with executives, senior program leads, and value stream partners in a professional and effective manner.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in data-driven initiatives, as well as mentoring team members and contributing to their development.

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of MS Office and electronic communication.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, Analytics, Dashboards, and Lookups.
  • Experience with analytical and automation tools such as Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Proficiency in SQL, MS Access, and familiarity with other data extraction/query tools preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in collecting and documenting requirements for various technical solutions, demonstrating strong technical acumen.
  • Proven experience in data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and developing reporting solutions to meet diverse business needs.
  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to define the scope based on business or project requirements.
  • Perform comprehensive data research and analysis to determine product inclusion based on requirements.
  • Conduct data mining, cleansing, and verification to ensure accuracy before compiling.
  • Compile, analyze, and normalize data at a detailed level (by product, volume/analysis consumption, and spend) for use in financial analysis, compliance, opportunity identification, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, incorporating strategies and insights, along with visualizations, summaries, and detailed data breakdowns to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Perform detailed analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Disseminate data into ERP, Member Portal, and internal systems.
  • Maintain project management tools to ensure accuracy and visibility for all stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines through clear communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve the customer experience through strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the documentation of business processes is accurate and up to date.
  • Create business cases for new enhancements to existing processes and systems.
  • Provide test cases, complete testing, create training documents, and train peers to support system enhancements.
  • Participate in cross-functional training to support vacation coverage.
  • Offer peer support and mentoring as required.
  • Develop an understanding of how personal day-to-day responsibilities contribute to the larger picture and overall impact.
