About The Position

The Speech Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluating patients and planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating, and changing treatment programs. The therapist maintains adequate records, documents appropriate progress reports and patient education, and supervises support staff and students as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Speech Therapy or Communication Disorders.
• ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, or eligibility to begin a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with successful completion of the national exam.
• Tennessee license in Speech Pathology.
• Obtain BCLS certification within the orientation period.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical work with adults with speech, language, swallowing, or voice disorders.
• Training or experience participating in Modified Barium Swallows and operating video stroboscopic equipment.
