About The Position

The Speech Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluating patients and planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating, and modifying treatment programs. The therapist maintains adequate records and documents appropriate progress reports and patient education. The therapist also supervises support staff and students as assigned.

This is a 0.6 FTE position at HH Lincoln Health in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The organization provides emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services through Lincoln Medical Center and its affiliated care services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Speech Therapy or Communication Disorders.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility to begin a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with successful completion of the national exam.
• Tennessee license in Speech Pathology.
• Must receive BCLS certification within the orientation period.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical work with adults with speech, language, swallowing, or voice disorders is preferred.
• Training or experience participating in Modified Barium Swallows and operating video stroboscopic equipment.
