About The Position

Sprenger Therapy is hiring an in-house Speech-Language Pathologist at Anchor Lodge in Lorain, Ohio. The family-owned therapy organization emphasizes resident-centered clinical decision-making and outcomes rather than contract-company volume targets. The SLP evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders; develops individualized care plans; and collaborates with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Clinical areas include dysphagia, cognitive-linguistic therapy, and communication. Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and supervision provided.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care.

Nice To Haves

Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Conduct dysphagia evaluations and make evidence-based diet and intervention recommendations.
Provide cognitive-linguistic therapy to support functional independence and quality of life.
Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, and dietary to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes.
