About The Position

Conducts developmental evaluation and assessments across all domains (cognitive, self help/adaptive, fine and gross motor, communicative and social/emotional as part of a multidisciplinary team, using standardized tools, curriculum-based assessments, and naturalistic observations to develop informed clinical opinion. Interprets evaluation and assessment results and maintains appropriate records. Provides trainings and support groups to families, staff, school personnel, therapists and professional organizations. Provides mentorship and training to speech and language interns. Runs specialty clinics within the center and/or community. Participates in developing appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies as part of the multidisciplinary team. This is a time-limited position. Time limited positions are based on circumstances, such as funding sources, which control the length of time for which the position is available.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology.
  • Valid Florida licensure as a speech language pathologist with certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) issued from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • One year experience working with children.
  • Must have an active Florida license.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university/college with certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
