Requirements

  • One year of speech therapy experience
  • Current license in good standing with the state of Oklahoma medical board
  • CPR certification or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of being hired
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality speech therapy services in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Assist the physician in evaluating the level of functioning in each patient through initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Develop or revise the plan of care based on assessments.
  • Prepare clinical and progress notes.
  • Consult with the family and other agency personnel.
  • Provide all services in accordance with CMS documentation and billing requirements.
  • Practice infection control by following universal precautions.
  • Actively recognize and report any forms of abuse according to policy and federal and state laws.
  • Assist with orientation for new hires when needed.
  • Participate in training activities.
