About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist (SLP) to join a fast-paced Acute Care hospital setting in Canton, Georgia. The therapist will work with a diverse patient population across multiple units including ICU, neurological/stroke, respiratory, dysphagia, and cognitive care. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong acute care experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centered therapy services within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent Speech Therapy experience within specialty required
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
- CCC-SLP Certification required
- BLS Certification required
Nice To Haves
- Prior Acute Care experience strongly preferred
- MBS/FEES proficiency preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech therapy services in an acute care setting
- Assess swallowing, speech, language, cognitive, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Provide therapy interventions for ICU, stroke/neuro, dysphagia, respiratory, and cognitive-related conditions
- Document patient progress and therapy interventions accurately within EMR systems
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with facility and clinical documentation standards
