Speech Therapist (SLP)
About The Position
Country Meadows of West Shore has a full-time SLP opportunity. This position is a full-time split with Ecumenical, but they are open to considering part-time at West Shore only. Powerback is a leader in physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, helping older adults stay active and thrive, and providing essential therapy for children at home and in school. With over four decades of service, Powerback delivers personalized care in skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care. Requirements
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities
- Help patients get their power back by assisting them to communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits.
- Take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, designing and executing patient plans.
- Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities.
- Adapt to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of the work and settings.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need.
- Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity.
