About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a part-time Speech Pathologist to provide home health services. The role focuses on helping adults prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Pathologist also provides aural rehabilitation and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate. Compensation is $55 to $69 per hour and may vary by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Hold a current, unencumbered speech pathology license specific to the state of assignment.
• Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Complete graduate coursework and a clinical practicum through a college or university program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Hold current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
