About The Position

ATC Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at NYCCC in Bronx, NY. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and help patients reach their communication and swallowing goals.

Requirements

  • Valid license to practice in the State of New York.
  • Direct clinical experience working with children/adolescents.
  • NYS teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped.
  • Certified as a TSSH or TSSLD for the State of New York.

Responsibilities

  • NYCCC Bronx Campus is seeking services of a valid licensed Speech-language Pathologist for children/adolescents.
  • Services to be provided shall include, but may not be limited to, patient evaluations, treatment planning, speech therapy, consultation to staff, and related duties.
  • Documentation of evaluations and therapy must be completed per the Uniform Case Record and NYCCC policies.
  • Service hours shall not exceed 15-20 hours per week with a maximum of 1,040 hours annually.
  • Facility General hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Scheduling is flexible and can be arranged as per the mutual needs of the facility and speech therapist.
  • Complete HIPAA/HITECH and other mandated training as determined by OMH/Facility.
  • Visibly wear Facility issued badge, identification always during course of the work schedule.
  • Expected to integrate readily into the treatment team and interact with staff at all levels in their professional capacity.
  • The speech pathologist should have direct clinical experience working with children/adolescents.
  • The speech pathologist must have a valid license to practice in the State of New York.
  • The Speech Therapist shall adhere to all requirements, regulations, and ethical practices, standards and licensing requirements.
  • The Speech-Language pathologist should be a NYS teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped.
  • Must be certified as a TSSH or TSSLD for the State of New York
