About The Position
The speech-language pathologist in the NICU will evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments and establish a plan of care using evidence-based practice interventions. This role involves interacting and collaborating with healthcare professionals to assess intervention programs.
Requirements
- Neonatal Experience
- Modified Barium Swallow Study
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
Responsibilities
- Evaluates speech/language and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments or changes in physical function due to various causes.
- Interacts and collaborates with professionals to implement and assess intervention programs.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
