About The Position

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll provide one-on-one therapy in children's homes, building meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping children improve their communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Current Texas SLPA license (or eligible to obtain prior to start date).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to address speech disorders, language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, feeding and swallowing challenges, and social communication skills.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Educate and support parents and caregivers with home programs and therapeutic strategies.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centered care.
  • Build positive, lasting relationships with children and their families through compassionate, one-on-one care.
