About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in Havelock, NC. You will support students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year, with a flexible schedule and a very supportive onsite team.
Requirements
- Registration as an assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
- Administers screening protocols
- Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist.
- Communicates with students and other professionals to meet the emotional needs of students.
- Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists.
- Manages behavior using appropriately designed management techniques.
- Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions.
