Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and compliance with applicable state requirements.
• Experience assessing and treating speech, language, communication, and related educational needs in school-age students.
• Knowledge of IEP requirements, special education practices, and evidence-based speech and language therapy techniques.
• Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a secure or correctional education environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services to incarcerated students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments to identify students' educational and therapeutic needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, goals, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and other professionals to support students' academic success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations regarding speech and language services.
• Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with applicable educational, professional, and facility policies and regulations.
