Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in an Early Intervention program in the Clifton Springs, NY area during the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves providing speech and language services to preschool and/or elementary students in a school-based special education setting. The SLP will develop and implement individualized therapy and instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals, developmental needs, and learning styles. Collaboration with general and special education teachers is key to supporting communication, phonemic awareness, reading, and writing development. The position also requires identifying and addressing students’ phonemic awareness needs and supporting students with apraxia. Maintaining required documentation, including Medicaid reimbursement records, is essential, along with actively contributing to a collaborative, team-based learning environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathology License
- Active TSSLD and/or TSHH credentials
- Valid NPI number
- School-based experience with preschool and/or elementary students, particularly in special education or collaborative classroom settings
- Experience identifying and addressing phonemic awareness needs and/or apraxia
Responsibilities
