About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team! Join our collaborative therapy team supporting students’ academic and functional success! This is a Full-Time position for the 2026-2027 School Year in Baton Rouge, LA, covering one school grades K-5th. We offer flexible hourly rates starting at $50/hour that go up based on experience, generous PTO accrual, and year-round benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, free CEUs & more. This is a W-2 position, meaning no extra tax complications at the end of the year. Enjoy no weekends, no holidays, and summers off, with a consistent caseload and a supportive team.

Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
