About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPRO Heritage, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their ABA Team in Killeen, TX. This role involves providing speech, language, feeding, and swallowing services to pediatric patients aged 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical-based disorders in an outpatient clinic setting. The SLP will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing consultations, screenings, and parent education to promote the overall health of the patient. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents, is a key aspect of this position. Flexibility with scheduled hours is also required due to the company's growth.

Requirements

Graduate from an ASHA accredited Speech Therapy program
Current State Speech Therapist license
Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA when applicable
Current CPR certification
Efficient problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication skills and time management skills
Must keep best interest of the client and family at the forefront of all activities

Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric speech therapy.
Ability to evaluate a patient’s speech therapy needs and communicate the patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient’s care.
Ability to communicate with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.
Thorough knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.
Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)

Responsibilities

Provides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
Adheres to state requirements for supervision of SLPAs and Clinical Fellows to provide services with the highest care standards.
Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/follow up programs.
Agrees to complete 75% billable hours of all hours worked each week. If not consistently met, 30 days (thirty) to achieve this standard before a transition to part time status occurs.
Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
Maintains patient records confidentially.
Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations.
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
Attends meetings as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
