Requirements

  • Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
  • Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
  • Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
  • CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans to address patient needs.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Educating patients and families on therapy goals and techniques.
  • Accurately documenting evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
