About The Position

Metro Therapy, Inc., a Powerback Pediatrics company, provides pediatric educational and developmental services across Long Island and New York City’s five boroughs. The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech therapy to children in a school setting, evaluates and assesses students, tracks their progress, and delivers services as specified in their IEPs. The role involves collaboration with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s goals, as well as completing documentation and progress notes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent with and acceptable to ASHA.
• Possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow or hold ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CF) status.
• Be licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services to children in a school setting.
• Perform evaluations and assessments and track child progress.
• Deliver speech therapy services as mandated in the IEP.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s goals.
• Complete documentation and progress notes.
