About The Position

Metro Therapy, Inc., a Powerback Pediatrics company, provides speech therapy services to children in school settings throughout Long Island and New York City. The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and assesses children, tracks progress, delivers services mandated by each child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), collaborates with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals, and completes documentation and progress notes. The organization offers clinical support teams and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent with and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow or hold ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CF) status.
• Be licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services to children in school settings.
• Perform evaluations and assessments and track each child’s progress.
• Deliver speech therapy services as mandated in the IEP.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s goals.
• Complete documentation and progress notes.
