About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is looking for a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the team at our beautiful assisted living setting. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling, meaningful patient connections, and a supportive team environment. The role involves treating a diverse caseload including communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders with assisted living and memory care residents. You will collaborate with PTs, OTs, nursing staff, and community leadership, gaining valuable experience in geriatrics and senior living care. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
