About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This is a part-time position split between Parkersburg, WV, and Elison in Marietta, OH. PRN is also available. A compact license in WV and OH is a plus. The setting is an Assisted Living facility, offering a supportive environment focused on independence and quality of life. Personalized care plans are ideal for speech-language therapy goals. The role includes on-site rehab services for swallowing, communication, and cognitive support, flexible PRN scheduling, and diverse caseloads (cognitive, swallowing, functional communication). You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team for holistic resident care and have opportunities to directly impact residents’ quality of life.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Compact License in WV and OH is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
