About The Position

This is a part-time, per diem position for a Speech Language Pathologist working the day shift. The role involves assessing and treating patients with speech, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders effectively and professionally. The therapist will collaborate with physicians, medical professionals, staff, and families to ensure quality of care. Patients range from neonates to geriatric individuals. The position supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Maryland License to practice Speech pathology.
• CPR certified within probationary period.
• Two years experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments.
• Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
• Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and treating patients referred for speech language, hearing and swallowing disorders in an effective and professional manner.
• Collaborating with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care.
• Providing assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients.
• Supporting the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
