Speech Language Pathologist Per Diem
About The Position
As a per diem, nonexempt Speech Language Pathologist with the Optum/CPS Rehabilitation Services team at Parrish Medical Center, you administer and directly apply Speech-Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. You evaluate, plan, direct, and treat patients referred to Speech-Language Pathology, helping them achieve maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine life within the constraints of their disability. The role is primarily outpatient, with the possibility of floating to other local facilities and working inpatient or outpatient. The per diem schedule is as needed, with no set hours. The rehabilitation department’s core hours are Monday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional support as needed for acute-care hospital rehabilitation staff. Parrish Medical Center is a public, not-for-profit acute-care hospital with 210 beds on Florida’s Space Coast. The position works with rehabilitation clinical team members and includes documentation and follow-up.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Florida Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing, or ability to obtain it before starting.
- Willingness to work in an outpatient setting and float to inpatient as needed.
