About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Part Time Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity near McLean, Virginia! This is a float position between Sunrise of McLean, Sunrise of Falls Church, and/or Sunrise of Hunter Mill, offering 10-20 hours a week. Sunrise of McLean is a newly remodeled and beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care facility with a nice and large rehab space and a pro-therapy community. The flexibility for floating allows you to split time with the facility that best accommodates you, or go between all the facilities for additional hours. Other facility locations include Assisted Living and Memory Care Facilities in Fall Church, VA and Oakton, VA. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
