Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care Rehab, PRN
About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for its Acute Care Rehab Team at the main campus in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN opportunity in an adult acute care setting, scheduled for day shifts. The position participates in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations. Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies in an acute care setting is preferred. Requirements
- Master of Science or Master of Arts degree.
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 1 year of experience working in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with all diagnoses.
- Provide extensive education to patients and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team care with rehabilitation professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory staff, and support staff.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced setting, using good time management, detailed EMR documentation, self-direction, and effective communication.
- Participate in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations.
