About The Position
Join the talented rehab therapy team at this nationally ranked facility! This is a Weekend Track Speech and Language Pathologist position at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital. Eligible for Full-Time Medical Benefits. The schedule is every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree
- Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration
- Must have completed Clinical Fellowship year
- Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association
Responsibilities
- Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
- Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
- Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.
- Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
- Participates in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards.
