About The Position
HealthPro Heritage has a great PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Opportunity. Need: A couple of hours, 1 or 2 days a week, and FLEXIBLE Location: Morning Pointe of Owensboro, Owensboro, KY Setting: Senior Living Community in Owensboro. This is a PRN opportunity with a highly flexible schedule, offering a competitive pay of $50-$55/hour based on experience. It's a great chance to supplement income, serve seniors in an assisted living community, and enjoy excellent work-life balance. The role involves building strong relationships with residents and staff in a supportive interdisciplinary team environment, with a convenient Owensboro location and potential for additional PRN opportunities within HealthPro Heritage. Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
- Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
- Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
- Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
