About The Position

Gateway Rehab in Florence, Kentucky, is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. The hospital provides a fast-paced, friendly work environment where staff can get to know patients and their families. The Speech Language Pathologist provides and directs speech-language pathology services under physician orders, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication.

Requirements

• Current, valid, active license to practice as a Speech Therapist in the state of employment.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, or be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
