About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team at New Bethany, a residential care community in Los Banos, CA. This role involves providing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to residents, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to residents.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each resident’s goals and needs.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams and families to support optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
