About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based pediatric opportunity in Oakland, CA. This is a great opportunity for an SLP who enjoys helping students build communication skills, supporting educational success, and working as part of a collaborative school-based team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist with HealthPRO Pediatrics, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while receiving the support, resources, and clinical guidance needed to succeed. We are looking for an SLP who is passionate about pediatrics, student-centered care, and working closely with school teams and families.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
