About The Position
MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide one-on-one pediatric home health care. The role focuses on helping children develop communication skills and reach their potential through individualized evaluation and therapy. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for full-time, part-time, and PRN work, with weekday, after-school, and Saturday availability. New hires receive a gradual caseload ramp-up, manageable caseloads, clinical and administrative support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligibility to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Experience supervising assistants is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's needs.
- Provide speech therapy addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing skills.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to support continued growth.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to promote carryover at home.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
