About The Position
Independence Rehab is actively seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support our therapy team at Wel-Life in Scottsbluff. As a PRN SLP in a skilled nursing setting, you'll provide evaluation and treatment services for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Current Nebraska Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Organized, self-directed, and patient-focused
- Passion for working with the geriatric population
Nice To Haves
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Skilled nursing facility experience preferred, but motivated clinicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia-related needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on safety, function, and quality of life
- Conduct swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and therapy teams to support resident care plans
- Provide education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate
- Competency training available - support provided for clinicians new to or growing within the SNF setting
