About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity at Presentation Rehab Care Center in Brighton, MA. This is a long-term care setting. The role starts part-time with the potential to grow into full-time as the caseload increases. The position offers a flexible part-time schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance. You will treat a mix of short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents with various speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication diagnoses. The role involves building meaningful patient relationships, collaborating with a supportive interdisciplinary team (PTs, OTs, nursing staff, physicians, dietitians, and case managers), and strengthening skills in dysphagia management, cognitive rehabilitation, communication disorders, and geriatric care. You will work in a modern rehabilitation environment within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center dedicated to quality outcomes. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
