About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year in Cary, NC. This role involves helping students overcome communication barriers. The position requires administering assessments, interpreting data, designing and delivering therapy, and managing the IEP process. The SLP will also partner with educators and parents and may need to be adaptable regarding scheduling and school assignments.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) and an active NPI number
- Minimum of one year of experience in a school-based setting
- Ability to pass background clearances, including fingerprinting for preschool settings
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Experience with state-level Medicaid billing registries
Responsibilities
- Administer assessments and interpret data to distinguish between language disorders and dialectal differences, communicating findings clearly to families and teams.
- Design and deliver high-quality therapy in individual and group sessions using creative resources to drive measurable student progress.
- Manage the end-of-year IEP process within state systems, ensuring all services and eligibility determinations adhere to IDEA and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) frameworks.
- Partner with educators and parents while maintaining adaptability regarding scheduling and school assignments.
