About The Position

Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking applicants for a full-time, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the Tri County region. The goal of an SLP is to provide remedial services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, or hearing disorders with the outcome of improving expressive/receptive communication and attain the necessary speech and language skills. This is a Tri-County Itinerant position with an anticipated majority of Early Intervention services but will also service Special Education School Aged as assigned. Currently servicing the Wattsburg/Greene Township areas.

Requirements

PA Educational Specialist Certificate School Speech and Language Pathologist PK-12
PA State Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology

Responsibilities

Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
