About The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist will work with patients across varying conditions primarily from acute care and inpatient rehab, focusing on neuro conditions such as stroke, TBI, and Parkinson's. Other duties include trauma care, post-intubation support, cognitive evaluations for home safety, and swallow studies. The role operates on a daily caseload of 7-10 patients using the Epic EMR system.
Requirements
- Licensed Speech Therapist within the state of Nebraska.
- American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions to neuro patients.
- Conduct cognitive evaluations for patient safety planning.
- Administer swallow studies as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records utilizing EMR.
