About The Position

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a Select Medical and Vibra Healthcare partnership, is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The inpatient rehabilitation hospital provides care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The role evaluates patients and develops and delivers individualized treatment in accordance with their needs and physician direction, while coordinating care with other clinical and therapeutic services and available community resources.

The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and the possibility of advancement to a full-time opportunity. Part-time and per diem employees may qualify for 401(k) participation after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year. Compensation is $50.00 per hour, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current CLS certification or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs that support patients’ effective return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
• Coordinate treatment programs with other clinical and therapeutic services and available community resources.
