About The Position

City View Post Acute is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join their elite in-house rehabilitation team. This role offers a collaborative environment where expertise in cognition, swallowing, and communication directly enhances residents' quality of life. The position offers premium hourly rates and flexibility with Part-Time and PRN opportunities. As part of the in-house team, the SLP will be a vital member of the permanent clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Current, valid California SLP License.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents to determine therapy needs, rehabilitation potential, and aspiration prevention strategies.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to improve functional independence and cognitive-linguistic skills.
  • Supervise SLP Clinical Fellows (CFYs) or students and assist in training Restorative Aides.
  • Actively participate in Resident Care conferences, Utilization Reviews, and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Educate families and caregivers on maintenance programs and facilitate necessary DME orders to support independence.
