About The Position

Rush Specialty Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to join their team. This role is housed inside Rush Specialty Hospital and offers a compensation of $55 per hour. Rush Specialty Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and RUSH, is a 100-bed facility providing critical illness recovery and acute inpatient rehabilitation services. The acute rehabilitation unit is dedicated to offering exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas, addressing their medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges.

Requirements

Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Nice To Haves

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
