About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in New Orleans, LA. Join a supportive, multidisciplinary team focused on helping students succeed academically and functionally. This is a part-time, W-2 position working one day per week in a K-8th grade school setting for students with emotional and behavioral exceptionalities. The role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay starting at $55/hour, no weekends or holidays, and summers off. HealthPRO Pediatrics is an established leader in pediatric and school-based therapy, offering mentorship, clinical support, and opportunities to work in various pediatric settings.

Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
