About The Position

Regency Hospital - Macon is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients’ communication and swallowing needs, collaborates with associates to provide interdisciplinary patient programming, and supports quality services within the Rehab Therapy Department. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, in Macon, Georgia, with compensation of $33.00 to $51.00 per hour and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certified BLS or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive evaluations of communication skills and/or swallowing function.
Provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate patients’ maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
Collaborate with associates to provide quality interdisciplinary patient programming.
Participate with fellow staff in monitoring the quality of services provided by the Rehab Therapy Department.
Participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
Assist in developing the SLP role in programs and services and revising departmental policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies.
Share professional knowledge and experience.
Alert the Manager to educational needs.
