About The Position

LLA Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for school-based positions throughout Northeast Ohio. With over 30 years of experience, LLA Therapy focuses on helping children shine their brightest through effective communication, ongoing support, collaboration with school personnel, and providing necessary resources. The role involves providing ongoing treatment, documenting student progress, conducting evaluations, writing therapy goals, attending IEP and ETR meetings, and contributing to a positive team culture. Responsibilities also include maintaining therapy minutes, completing Medicaid billing, and collaborating with school staff and families.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure to practice Speech Language Therapy within the state of Ohio
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending and understanding the English language.
  • Pass an FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire)
  • Current Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire)
  • Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by governing body.
  • Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
  • Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
  • Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
  • Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
  • Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
  • Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
  • Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
  • Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
