About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for their 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) at North Kansas City Hospital. This is a fast-paced yet fun environment with opportunities for learning and growth, staffed by a team of over 25 full-time therapists. The role involves assessing speech, language, and swallowing abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans, educating patients and families, documenting progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
• Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
